​Our client, a luxury hotel is currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Banquet Captain to join the team and ensure flawless execution of  banquet events.


As a Banquet Captain, you will oversee the coordination and execution of banquet events, including weddings, conferences, and special occasions. You will lead a team of banquet staff to deliver exceptional service, exceed guest expectations, and create unforgettable experiences for our clients and their guests.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise banquet staff and provide leadership, guidance, and support during event setup, service, and breakdown.

  • Coordinate event details with clients, event planners, and internal departments to ensure all requirements are met and expectations are exceeded.

  • Oversee the setup of banquet rooms, including arranging tables, chairs, linens, and decorations according to event specifications.

  • Manage banquet service, including directing servers, bartenders, and other staff to ensure smooth and efficient service throughout the event.

  • Anticipate and address any issues or concerns that arise during events, maintaining a calm and professional demeanor at all times.

  • Ensure adherence to food and beverage safety standards, sanitation guidelines, and company policies and procedures.

  • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, event planners, and other team members to ensure seamless coordination and execution of events.

  • Assist with inventory management, including ordering supplies, tracking equipment, and managing event budgets.

  • Provide exceptional customer service, respond to guest inquiries and feedback, and resolve any issues or concerns in a timely and professional manner.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a Banquet Captain or in a similar leadership role in the hospitality industry.

  • Strong knowledge of banquet operations, including event setup, service standards, and food and beverage service.

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Customer-focused with a passion for delivering exceptional service and creating memorable experiences.

  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

  • TIPS or SafeServ certification a plus.
