We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Cook 2 to join our esteemed culinary team. This role is perfect for someone looking to grow their skills and gain experience in a luxury hotel kitchen environment.

In this position, you will assist in the preparation and cooking of high-quality dishes under the guidance of our experienced culinary team. You will rotate through various kitchen stations, gaining exposure to different aspects of culinary operations. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills and contribute to the success of our hotel’s dining experiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of ingredients and the cooking of menu items according to recipes and standards set by the Executive Chef and Sous Chef.

  • Work at various kitchen stations (e.g., grill, sauté, prep) as assigned, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the hotel’s high standards.

  • Ensure consistency in food quality, taste, and presentation, paying close attention to detail in every dish.

  • Collaborate with Cook 1s, Sous Chefs, and other kitchen staff to ensure a smooth and efficient kitchen operation.

  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.

  • Assist with the organization and maintenance of kitchen inventory, including proper storage and rotation of ingredients.

  • Take advantage of opportunities to learn new cooking techniques, recipes, and kitchen management skills from senior kitchen staff.

  • Follow all safety regulations and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a professional kitchen, preferably in a high-end restaurant or luxury hotel setting.

  • Basic knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen operations, with a willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong focus on food quality, presentation, and cleanliness.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with kitchen staff, taking direction from Cook 1s, Sous Chefs, and the Executive Chef.

  • Willingness to rotate through different kitchen stations and take on various tasks as needed.

  • Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen while maintaining high standards.

  • Culinary degree or certification is preferred but not required if you have relevant experience.

  • A genuine interest in culinary arts and a desire to build a career in the hospitality industry.

  • Understanding of basic food safety and sanitation practices.

  • Flexible schedule; ability to work weekends and holidays.
