Join our team as a Housekeeper for a luxury hotel in the heart of downtown Chicago, steps from the iconic Magnificent Mile. This prime location offers an exciting and dynamic work environment surrounded by world-class shopping, dining, and entertainment. As a Housekeeper, you will play a key role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and comfort, ensuring an exceptional experience for our guests.

This position includes training with a starting pay of $23.00 per hour, increasing to $25.25 per hour upon successful completion of training.

Responsibilities:

  • Clean and tidy guest rooms to the highest standards, including making beds, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing furniture.

  • Replenish room supplies such as towels, toiletries, and amenities ensuring they are always stocked and presented beautifully.

  • Inspect rooms for cleanliness and report any maintenance issues to the housekeeping manager.

  • Follow hotel procedures for handling lost and found items.

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and hotel policies.

  • Provide exceptional service to guests, responding promptly to their requests and inquiries.

  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of housekeeping carts and storage areas.

  • Collaborate with the housekeeping team to achieve daily cleaning targets and maintain a high standard of service.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in housekeeping or a similar role preferred.

  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labor, including lifting and bending.

  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.

  • Knowledge of English language.

  • High school degree.
